Giuliana was sitting on a rooftop, close to the bridge; she could even see Il Vaticano from there. Maybe it was the magnificent Dome in front of her, or the chilly breeze biting her hands and bringing tears to her eyes...whatever reason, she discovered herself thinking about Ezio again. Where could he be? Almost surely hiding somewhere on a mission. Eager for the darkness to fall, hungry and tense...just like her.

The meeting was tonight, but the squealer did not provide with a specific time. Her instructions were clear, so there was only one option: to await patiently and try not to freeze. Dante was probably on his way.

At least one of them was already there. She caught a glimpse of the hooded man peacefully eating an apple... frankly ironic.

Lupo had finally finished crunching away at the apple, and did so until he'd gotten to the core of it. Hardly any 'meat' remained on the small fruit. His eyes turned left, and then right before sitting up straight, and hopping from the hay cart. It wasn't like the streets were clean, and so, he tossed the core over his shoulder, letting it sit in the middle of the street. With luck, some hungry stray would find it and make a meal of it. Also with luck, he would run into the Officer, Teodor. But so late, he doubted it at this point.

Someone at the Guild told her he was the one who killed Alandro and took the codex page; her blood was boiling with anger at the thought of Alandro's kids without their father. But she knew Ezio will take care of them: regardless of their rank, every Assassin's family received help. Ezio Auditore...a blessing and a curse on my life. Ezio's eyes, exhausted with anguish, came back to her in a painful picture. The very day she came back from Venice she bumped into him at Isola Tiberina. Although she did not know anything by then, Giuliana immediately realized something terrible had happened: he looked twenty years older than his real age, drained of hope. Ezio recognized her immediately, and caressed her cheek softly; Giuliana did not dare to speak and averted his eyes. She was confused, overwhelmed by his presence..and still angry. He smiled with deep sadness and silently walked away.
By the time she learned the truth, it was too late: he had left on a mission. What the hell... when this is done, I'll go and find him. Wherever he is. He lost his elder son, for Christ's sake! Whatever happened between us is nothing compared to his sorrow. She was so lost in her thoughts that did not notice the Hooded man stood up. His patience was running out, and Giuliana herself was getting anxious. Where is Dante? He promised to be here before darkness. Her muscles tensed when she saw another man crossing the bridge. The description fitted perfectly: her target. As she moved, a roof tile fell to the floor. Cazzo!
